WORKSHOP PEMBUATAN WEBSITE DALAM RANGKA PENINGKATAN PERAN SERTA JEMAAT MUDA UNTUK PEMBUATAN DAN PEMELIHARAAN WEBSITE GEREJA

Abstract

ABSTRAK

Gereja sebagai institusi non-profit sudah mulai memanfaatkan perkembangan teknologi seperti internet dan website untuk mendukung kegiatan mereka. Menggunakan prinsip kerja client-server, website dapat membuat proses penyebaran informasi menjadi lebih luas, lebih cepat, akurat, dengan tingkat aksesibilitas yang tinggi. Beberapa bentuk pemanfaatan internet dan website oleh gereja adalah untuk mendukung sistem akuntansi, untuk pengaturan jadwal pelayanan, serta distribusi informasi kegiatan gereja untuk menjangkau lebih banyak jemaat. Gereja juga dapat meminta kesediaan jemaat khususnya jemaat muda sebagai tenaga sukarelawan untuk mendukung beragam kegiatan operasional mereka seperti untuk membuat dan memelihara website gereja agar tetap up-to-date. Dalam rangka memotivasi dan mendukung jemaat yang akan menjadi tim untuk membuat dan memelihara website gereja, maka dilakukan workshop bagi jemaat. Workshop diisi dengan pemberian materi tentang penggunaan Joomla dan Wordpress sebagai tools CMS (Content Management System) yang dapat digunakan untuk pembuatan website dan mini-project untuk memberikan kesempatan berkreasi dalam pembuatan website gereja bagi peserta workshop. Melalui pelatihan ini akan tersedia jemaat sebagai sukarelawan yang akan menjadi tim pembuat dan pemelihara website gereja. Dengan adanya tim ini maka website gereja akan semakin terpelihara dan informatif, sehingga gereja dapat meningkatkan pelayanan dan distribusi informasi, serta menjangkau lebih banyak jemaat.

Workshop Of Website Development For Enhancing Young Congregations Participant For Developing And Maintaining Churchs Website

Church as a non-profit institution already started to take advantages of developments in information technology, like internet and website to support their activity. Using client-server principle, website make information distribution wider, faster, accurate, with high accessibility level. Some utilization of internet and website in church are to support accounting system, to arrange praise and worship schedule, and to distribute information about churchs activity to reach more congregation. Church can ask the congregation, especially young congregation to become a volunteer to support churchs operational, one of them is to develop and maintenance churchs website to remain up-to-date. In order to motivating and supporting concegragation to be a team for developing and maintaining website, then we do workshop for the congregation. The workshop will be fill with Wordpress and Joomla material, as a tools of Content Management System (CMS). In the workshop, participant will be given mini-project to implement their creativity in develop churchs website. At the end of the workshop, there will be a team consists of workshops participants as a volunteer to develop and maintain churchs website. With this team, we hope there will be an up-to-date and informative churchs website, so church can increase their service and reach many more congregation.
